Jazba Junoon singer Ali Azmat is a singer, song writer musician and actor. While he was the singer who performed in the first band of Pakistan Junoon. He also performed as a vocalist with his lead guitar and song writer Salman and American bassist Brian O’Connell in United state general assembly. While he is best known as a lead singer in the sufi rock band Junoon
In his interview with Ahmed Pansota for current pk he talked about Singer Noor Jahan. Singer Ali Azmat talking about his childhood days said “Noor Jahan use to sing songs wearing heavy sari, big earing and heavy over makeup, like meat balls and we used to hate that women “While during his conversation he said that they all used to hate Noor Jaha,n, and there was a time when we accept our culture and norm later on”
While in show with Ahmed Pansota he talked about culture and art. He said derogatory, sexist, and ageist remarks calling Noor Jahan meat ball and old woman who use to sing at that time, while he said that it was not necessary for us to watch it”.
Ali Azmat also talked about American society saying that they are not fond of sensationalism. While he also mentioned that he is not amongst those man who ” stick their tongues out” watching Madonna on their screens. He said that “I am not amongst those who use to stick their tongue on screen after seeing Madonna. Moreover he funnily added that someone will say that close your mouth otherwise fly enter in it.
